Bonanni Motorsports is proud to announce that Mike Bonanni and his project 370Z have been invited to compete in the 2012 Modified Magazine Tuner Shootout! Traditionally, the shootout has featured an open rule book attracting the nation's top time attack cars but for 2012 the competition is taking a turn back to street cars that are relateable to the reader. The Bonanni Motorsports 370Z was one of 12 cars chosen to compete this year in the multi-category event.

"I am so excited and honored to have been chosen to compete with my 370Z in this competition. I have read about it every year, but this will be my first time competing in it. The format of the event is really cool and diverse and will challenge both my setup and driving abilities. My 370Z is my daily driver, my only means of transportation, and it will be driven in this competition by me, the actual owner of the car. To me, that truly personifies the spirit of this competition with its new rules and format." - Mike Bonanni

The two-day competition will take place in Phoenix, Arizona at the end of March. The event starts off at UMS Tuning with a dyno competition, dB sound limit test, and emissions test aimed at showcasing performance and streetability. Day two is when all of the action will take place at Firebird Raceway with an autocross, time attack, and 1/4 mile drag race. Competitors will be broken up into drivetrain configuration and then ranked on their cumulative scores from each competition area. The results of the competition will be featured in a future issue of Modified Magazine.
